Sales Development and Training Specialist
Alex (aka Master Chan) is Sales Star’s sales development and training specialist.
His background includes sales, sales management, and senior corporate management positions. Sales experience is vast having sold a large variety of products and services, negotiating individual sales as large as $15,000,000 and as small as $5.
He has international training and business advisory experience, assisting clients in New Zealand, Australia, South East Asia and North America.
Since 1989 he has trained people in advanced sales strategies and consults to clients by specializing in top-end performance improvement. During this time consulting contracts have placed him in interim management positions in charge of business units with turnover ranging between $4,000,000 and $100,000,000 PA. In these assignments he has improved client sales from 20 to 300 percent, each in less than 12 months.
After this he replaces himself with a permanent manager, leaving his clients with sustainable business models to continue with.
Other personal achievements include:
Winning every sales competition in his career.
Assisting a large company to increase its net profit before tax from about $80,000 to approximately $1,000,000.
Assisting another large company to trade its way out of receivership by increasing
it’s sales by about 30 percent.
Saving a company around $1,000,000 by helping them to devise a negotiation strategy prior to their entering an important purchasing negotiation.
Providing consultation that resulted in major publicity for a client, with national radio and television news exposure for several days.
Complete reengineering and change management of client sales forces resulting in massive sales increases.
Leading client project teams to win multi-million dollar tenders.
Sales experience includes business equipment, capital equipment, packaging, printing, stationery, professional services and international diamond dealing. Management experience includes corporate roles such as heading business units, change management, leading teams, trouble shooting, playing key roles in corporate strategy, designing and leading interventions.
He also trains and consults on behalf of a number of institutions, including New Zealand Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Management.
